Background
Riweb brought me in to design the website and UI for The Cornermen, a men’s mental health charity. I wanted this one badly. Mental health is close to my heart, and when a project genuinely matters, you feel the weight of getting it right.

The work
I dug into the brand, colours and imagery the riweb.uk team provided and kept the aesthetic dark and a little edgy. It suits the male audience the charity serves, and it respects the seriousness of why they’re visiting.
The design hangs on one idea: a three-band motif drawn from the ropes of a boxing ring. The ropes exist to keep a fighter on his feet when he’s about to go down, and to help him back up when he does. I can’t think of a better metaphor for what this charity does, so I built the whole layout around it.

The result
The client was overjoyed with the design, which on a project like this felt bigger than a professional win. Riweb’s developers are building it now, and I’m looking forward to seeing it live and finding out how many people the charity reaches with it.
